It's masque who has it on modem mode

Get the name right please.;)

The are many more satisfied customers than unsatisfied customers out there and sadly that is a fact otherwise they would have rushed out a true replacement and it would be making national news.

We know that they bought the present devices for either a cheap price or for a backhander which can be the only reason that a mainstream device was not rolled out even though quite a few were tested even by staff members on here and from the Albert Dock and they were better than either the VMNG300 or the Superhub.

So how a company can test devices and then go with the substandard devices we will never know as it will be covered up at a very high level.

Customers are satisfied with both devices but as I keep saying in comparison to a mainstream device successfully used by millions worldwide the VMNG300 and the Superhub are in comparison a pair of camels.

A couple of questions if I may?

How good is the VMNG300? , can it for example handle the 120Mb that I might get later in the year (I assume ...?)

Can VM force everyone to move to the SuperHub later on if they wish?

Apologies if this has been answered in another thread ...

It is said to be incapable of 120Mb which is probably down to it only being able to use 4 downstreams rather than the 8 downstreams that the Superhub can use, so sooner probably rather than later your VMNG300 will struggle as more downstreams are rolled out in your area.

Also once your VMNG300 fails the only replacement is the Superhub unless you read and believe the unfounded stories of a secret store in the CEO's office, which is about as likely as Indiana Jones coming across a stash in a Aztec pyramid.

I suspect that the time will come when people are griping about the abysmal Superhub 2 which has buggy firmware, poor WiFi, and can't be put in modem mode and hankering for a secret stock of the old and trusted Superhub 1.

I've got my old VMNG300 still together with 2 Superhubs on top of the one I'm using. The engineers took two away on install day because they didn't work. One of my spares won't work ever as I dismantled it purely to take pictures of the innards and wasn't careful at all about how. The other has some holes in the casing for external antenna connectors (or more precisely I'm using that one's casing and my official superhub casing is in the loft.

You keep saying this and people keep correcting you. 4 downstreams can dish out 200meg, the superhub having 8 will just let it handle heavily congested areas slightly better.

In any other area it will just trundle along happy as larry. Only when VM release a 200meg product will the VMNG300 be obsolete in terms of technology.

It was also said to be incapable of 100mbit but I think enough of us have proven that their "thorough test" was a pile of steaming poo

The Ambit series and the Motorola series were all said to be capable of 38Mb but they will never achieve that so do please get it right as being possibly capable on paper and actually achieving it in reality are very very different, plus it is not up to you if they let it run at 200Mb or not, it is the company.

Do not wish for an inherently crippled device to run at a higher speed and by the way it was never tested on the newer network for the higher speed.

Do remember the is nothing to correct and nor has the ever been anything to correct, do you really want to be continually be polishing manure or would you prefer the company to rollout a proper device.

But both devices are a steaming pile of poo, so until the company admits it you will be left with a poor mans device regardless of what device being used.
