They must have reused your old power supply instead of swapping it for the one supplied with the Shub. Not very clever on their part, they must know that it would cause problems :(

Hmm, that's interesting. I've just checked, the engineer did that with ours, it's stillon the old power supply, and we have had no problems, over about 4 months

It's ironic they can't get this right, because the documentation that comes with the superhub when you do a self-install makes it absolutely clear that you must use the new power supply when you install it.

but it's a C.B.A. issue with for the 'engineers', obviously.

I'll dig about to see where I put the one that came with the SH (don't remember even seeing it TBH) and swap it tonight.

There's a good chance that they didn't leave it with you. If that's the case then you should call and get one sent to you. You said that this hasn't caused a problem, but it would make sense to have the correct device.

Same thing happened to me, they just used the PSU that was for the SA 2100. It was running rather hot. When the TiVo installer came a few weeks after I got him to change it.

However the SuperHub PSU has stopped my Powerline network from working - it must be throwing out some noise I expect. It works perfectly when I unplug it.
