Well take the bus then.

It would cost me about £20 pw if I caught the bus & I pay about £25 pw in fuel & now the parking levy. I would love to get the bus but the journey would take about 90 mins & the earliest it would get me to within a mile of my work place is half 7, yet I start at 6  & i wouldn't be able to work on a Saturday either, why should the workforce have to pay to park at their place of work l if the company they work for owns the land

Because This is Britain. we will keep on being screwed for a long time to come. and there's nothing we will do about it apart from the typical British moan.

And your point is?

All it will take is for one or two firms decide they are going to relocate because of this and it will probably stop

It's a bargain compared to the £40-£60 that people without free workplace parking pay per week, was actually the comparator I was referring to....

I think you will find that very few companies with city centre sites actually offer free parking - most of my friends who work (and drive into) Leeds City Centre who have 'company' parking pay between £10 and £20 per week for this.
