Its a Modem Router, But it says in the manual you can use it as an access point

Okay you could use it as an access point but you wouldn't be able to configure it when you done it

im not bothered about that so long as i can get wireless in my workshop.

if im in the workshop and I need to check a video tutorial on something i'm working on, i need to be able to access it while im down there.

According to this Buffalo N150 I can do that, but I have no way of doing it with my knowledge of networking, Im a total "Noob" when it comes to networks.

Woundn't it be easier to run a CAT5 cable down there?
