Russ, Many thanks for affording me the opportunity to have the last word, much appreciated.

You may not think you are xenophobic however, as defined by your own attitude and admissions in this thread in relation to dialects and "b@stardisation" of a particular language, the second form definition of xenophobia refers.

I'm not in a particularly argumentative mood - it is Christmas after all. You, however, appear to be.

Had you specified your place of birth in your post at 13:21 where you said "Being half English...." instead of playing along with my understanding that you were Welsh then we wouldn't have been "arguing" your nationality / national language, would we?

On that matter.

That makes you English, not "half English".

As I said earlier - I'm glad to have been able to have helped you understand your nationality, preferred language and xenophobia.

Once again, happy boxing day.

Lets move on.

I think everyone (not just Russ) has xenophobic, racial, prejudicial tendencies in one form or another) and if anyone says they don't. then they're a liar :)

Happy New Year!

Oh my God, you racist, prejudicial xenophobe.

Just beating Mr Angry to it. :D

Besides, I totally agree with you. Live and let live I say as long as there is no hatred or malice, having an opinion or view doesn't mean it's bad or negative regardless of the label. (imo)

The bible has been translated into Jamaican patois for the very first time.

See "Jiizas - di buk we Luuk rait bout im".

With entries such as "De angel go to Mary and say to 'er, me have news we going to make you well 'appy. God really, really, bless you and him a walk with you all de time" it makes for a fascinating read / interpretation of scripture.

BTW Mr A i like the hat

Happy New Year!

Unfortunately, some seem to either not recognise those tendencies (thus using this self-knowledge to positively modify their behaviours), or, in some cases, revel in these tendencies.

ymmv.

Very true, Hugh. that's probably why they think they have none of the mentioned tendencies.
