Re: Stopped working all of a sudden
Nice to hear you got sorted. :)
See how it fares over time and keep that old router of yours to hand, just in case. ;) |
Re: Stopped working all of a sudden
A case in point:
After just over a week of solid performance, following the Tech visit, my SHub went off into La-La Land again last night. I recalled my Netgear router from the subs bench (again) and have assured it that it is definitely part of my long-term plans... |

Re: Stopped working all of a sudden
Hmmmmmmm,
Looks like I will need to connect my old Wireless Lynksys Router to the superhub. Just reconnected my netgear media player and Netgear NAS to the Superhub and now can't play any Videos from the NAS without the video hanging. The transfer rate is around 8 Mbps where as with my Lynksys router I get around 80 Mbps transfer rate. Such Joy :( |
Re: Stopped working all of a sudden
This thread seems to reflect my experiences exactly.
My previously perfect 30Mbit line actually gives me 33Mbit on a good day (close to the cabinet) but for the past week over wifi i've experienced inconsistencies from 0.2Mbit, 3Mbit up to a fleeting 16Mbit. Wired is working fine. I've moved the router to a different channels but have been unable to get a full 30Mbit. None of my devices support 5Ghz channels and 54Mbit / 145Mbit appear to cause a total outage (unsure about why, retest later). I've used inSSIDer to tack other local router, of which there are at least 3 superhubs and 5 further renamed SSIDs. I guess the SHUBs are conflicting as they auto-pick their channel, i can watch them changing frequently sometimes. I wondered if there was a recommended alternative full replacement for the SHUB given i don't fancy have extra modem / router boxes around. My work colleague also tweaked a BT router to increase the transmitter output a little, i'd consider that if I had to. |
