Well it's still 14 +ve and 4 don't want it so either entries have been removed or nopanic is incapable of counting as he said there were 5 no interest votes before I counted just 3.

Odd, the numbers have changed.

Yes it is - that's why I queried it.

Hi Nopanic.

I voted no.

This is because I am considering upgrading to the 30 Mbps tier, but simply have no interest in the Spotify offer at all.

It has zero weighting in my decision process.

I do not consider it good or bad, merely irrelevant.

Phil.

I voted no. Don't get me wrong I do like listening to music but Virgins music on demand service, 14 music TV channels and 38 radio stations are good enough for me. Also with my own personal collection on iPod, CD and thousands of videos already available for free on Youtube I really am spoiled for choice without Spotify.

This offer is aimed at people who are music junkies. I don't see the value in entering into a new 12 month deal with Virgin to get 6 months free with Spotify. To me it seems like a gimmick offer.

Anyway that's just my personal opinion. I'm sure this deal will be music to the ears of thousands who will snap the offer up.

I've not voted, because there isn't an option I consider appropriate. I will try and explain.

When the offer was first announced, I was interested, so I called 150, and was told (by India) that because already a 30mbit subscriber, I'd have to upgrade to 50mbit to qualify as its only for upgraders or new subscribers.

I then learned via here, that I was fed a load of bovine fertilizer, and I could recontract. However, because I don't feel like arguing with India again over it, I did a bit of research, and learned that I wouldn't be able to copy the music onto my mp3 player. Since the only time I listen to music is when Im out exercising, via my mp3 player, the offer has only minimal interest to me.

I don't say zero interest, because we all know of or can think of ways to... Well, I'll stop there so I don't break the rules.

I just don't fancy having to argue with India over it.

Fair enough, thank you.

Makes sense, to be honest I don't listen to that much music, but I find having it on hand to search for things quite useful. I don't believe it would make me join VM, but if I was receiving a good service, it would probably make me re-contract.

That's disappointing and a major failing for VM, I'm not going to waste your time talking about feedback and such.

Hopefully someone important is reading this and will make a movement towards better training on new products for offshore agents.

Re: Opinions of Spotify offer ?

I'm a spotify premium paying member and when I noticed Virgin Media were offering this I decided to sign up to offer...I was suppose to get a call from VM confirming the Spotify offer (they never called) and I never got any emails regarding the Spotify offer. It would appear it got lost somewhere in the system...........
Can't be arsed with it so I'm paying tenner a month :-)

Voted no, but would have liked a choice of 'Not Interested'
I'm not a hater of VM, having been cabled since NTL days, so long ago ....

However, no, Spotify is not for me at all.

Call me a Dinosaur, but I still buy physical CD's for Pete's sake!

Re: Opinions of Spotify offer ?

There is no point in me voting because I am in 2 minds and together they cancel each vote out!

I already have Spotify and love it. I think its a great idea that Virgin has it.

So I took up the free offer.

I now have a 100mbit modem doing 5mbit and cannot get the free Spotify because of a software fault with MyVirginMedia blocking the registration option (so I'm told).

So at first I thought it was a great idea and now, having aquired a duff broadband service, awaiting software fix for Spotify and another engineer visit for my modem I would certainly vote 'no thanks'.

Software fix ? no such thing, can you give me any more detail about your issues, there is no Spotify issue we can't fix.

Again,

"Just not worth it" - it has no attraction to you, so its not worth bothering with.

Yes it is nice to see extra functions like Spotify but i don't think i would use it.
This is however my own personal opinon which does not mean that other family members won't use it either.

Having said that, i don't have TiVo yet.
