I find it hard to believe they got started on. What kind of moron would start on 160 EDL members? Also why were there so many of them in one place?

160 people outside one pub in the middle of London is an odd gathering of people. Especially one with a history of violence. Their claim that someone else started on them doesn't make sense and they were all arrested. A number of papers report they intended to go up to St Pauls as well. We'll wait and see what the police say.

At least the service was over..but frankly if they had just gone home instead of banding together in the pub there probably would have been no bother.Adding booze to the situation could not have helped.

Anti-european? Or simply don't wish to be ruled by others. It's called democracy. Britain has fought several wars(not just the two world wars) to defend the right of this country and others, to not be ruled by invading countries.

They have every right to their political beliefs just as do the BNP.

The problem in banning any organisation is that you risk pushing them underground or into changing their names.Then you won't know who they are or what they may be doing..Better to have a political party in plain view and to refute/ridicule their politics rather than just banning them.
