Re: Stupid and pathetic drivers
I have a pet hate, motorcycles, they don't like me.
I know that you have to look out for them which l do, but l can always remember the day, l pulled out at the lights, and a biker came from no where, jumped the lights, and nearly hit me, and would you believe it, called me names that l have never heard heard before. |
Re: Stupid and pathetic drivers
I guess it varies area to area, I've had no issues with bikers, I spent a lot of time around bikers in my youth and I know just how vulnerable they are, I always look twice for bikes, I don't regard them as one of the bigger hazards out there.

I see cyclists do all three of those regularly, and on busy roads. I am not saying cyclists are to blame for roads being dangerous, but roads are dangerous and every road user needs to remember that fact, respect it and be careful. Sadly road safety ads tend to concentrate on drivers of vehicles that aren't bikes giving the impression that those riding bikes (both motor and pedal) shouldn't take responsibility for their own safety. |

Re: Stupid and pathetic drivers
Heh don't get me started about dozy people with pushchairs or I'll counter with the ignorant sods in Supermarkets, completely blocking aisles with their trolleys while chimping on about everyday gossip, and when you do get past they look at you all indignant because you were in the way of the conversation

Re: Stupid and pathetic drivers
And get your eyes tested. The number of times I have seen people panic lane-change right under a road sign is unbelievable.
When asked the reason why they put off going for an eye test 43 per cent of people said that wearing glasses would make them feel older. A quarter of those who said they wouldn’t seek optical advice claimed it was because they ‘couldn’t be bothered’ and almost a fifth (18 per cent) said they didn’t visit the optician because of the cost of glasses and contact lenses That's 43 percent of the one in five morons who knowingly drive with poor eyesight. |

It only takes one push bike to fall off due to his direction there less time for driver to act. Absolute brainless its been only god grace nobody been killed. Drivers at cross roads have to look both ways there been few push bikers hit as some drivers not aware the oposite side cycle lane against the flow. I now not seeing cyclist using it now but only takes one idiot. To be frank you would be on deathwish to use it. Try it bang there going to be death surely Police cant do the drivers its thee council who should go to jail. Yes by letter law you look for pedestrians but how many look down the road oposite a 1 way road to see if its clear. I give a clance not really look to see if joyriders around. Yes those who with pushchairs who use it as tool to stop traffic playing very dangerous game with baby's. Another cyclist who on path bunny hop onto road had kid do that emergency stop my sister new the lad told his parents. Guess what NOT listened he sadly pushing up daisies did it 7 days later woman did not break in time killed him. Anybody got school kids please be warned ask if your kids do this dangerous act. Tell them they can die. Crazy is cops like usual death aha got do driver for dangerous driving or driving without due care. These can be very general and very vague so minor accidents can be prosecuted. its criminal how cops look for blood at times think the world forgot the word accident did not mean deliberate act. She got 2 bloomin years jail how that justice told the cops he did it to me but was lucky my sister was witness. No admitedly was not at the scene at that accident but lot here think she was unjustly treat because involved child. However I did think this might had bearing in her defence. |

I'm finding it hard to read the post but from my reading you are complaining someone got jailed for two years for causing death by dangerous driving. And thats the fault of the Police? Not the fault of the CPS for deciding there was enough evidence to go to court? Not the fault of the jury for hearing the evidence and finding them guilty? Not the fault of the judge for deciding two years was a suitable sentence? Not the fault of the driver for causing a death? |
Re: Stupid and pathetic drivers
I love the ones that overtake only to pull in front and hit there brakes because the lights are on red
Boy racers in there puny corsas that see my 4x4 and think they can undertake to get passed the slow moving lump that has seen the hazzard ahead. Same ones that cry when its clear and I leave them looking in embarassment at the girl in the seat next to them :D And before the anti 4x4 lobby start, I need the thing (Allthough I should not have to justify) ;) |
Re: Stupid and pathetic drivers

Her vehicle was not deemed defective just did not break they said she should have but she panicked. When kid jumps out on bike nearly point blank we all dont know how we will react until it happens. Lucky my reactions are very quick but if they was not spot on I would been in jail plane wrong. Its absolute pathetic how some procecutions happen yes procedures well known to screw up. I do think sometimes emotions run wild this blinkers our justice system. Fully expect if it happened week before I had not braked in time or unable to that I would ended up in jail. Its about time drivers get bit more protection from the system I think we lost sight of the word accident. People are human not robots with lightening reflexes. We all different sadly stupid law police lost sight of this. |

An odd habit I see with pedestrians crossing busy streets is the way many RUN two-thirds of the way accross the road, then slow right down for the last third! I saw an "accident" today..... a car zipped into a spare parking slot in a supermarket carpark... and took off the open driver's side door of the car to his left. He then reversed out and tried to drive off but onlookers blocked his path with full shopping trollies. He only looked about 15! |
