Re: 'Big Four' ISPs forced to block P0rn unless users 'opt in'
when i read this and heard about i was almost on my back laughing like hell.
I could just imagine someone ringing up india and telling them to unblock the dirty websites and the reactions it would cause LOL!!!!. |
Re: 'Big Four' ISPs forced to block P0rn unless users 'opt in'
I think I've seen one good example of an Indian call centre being their useful selves: A guy calls up his mobile provider to get the 'web security' disabled, and Steve from Mumbai asks "Why do you not like security, sir?"

If its anything like whatever algorithms go into Google SafeSearch, don't bother, its useless.

Re: 'Big Four' ISPs forced to block P0rn unless users 'opt in'
I just use open dns, works well enough to keep my 8 year old and her friends from stumbling across sites they should not see!!! Although it does block things like The Sun website!!!! Open DNS is set on the router but my main pc that I use for work etc is set to another DNS service and has full access, seems to work alright.
As long as it is an opt in i think it is a good idea, there are a lot of very less then savvy PC users who are frightend to let their kids use the internet because they dont understand it, and they dont understand how to control it!!! |
