To complete the catalog of errors that is a sky instalation the engineer turned up this morning to install the second multiroom booked last week and charged five times for ,only to say he didn't have any splitters so had to come back next wednesday.

i miss my Virgin :bigcry:

Splitters? you need to explain because right now I think you're making things up because I have no idea why a Sky multiroom instal would need splitters?

Why did your sky installer need splitters?

seriously though ,i do miss virgin i had sky about 7 years ago and ditched them for virgin mainly because of the superior BB and picture quality in bad weather ,essentially the sky+ box is a doorstop in bad weather .Last weekend i thought the banner "no satellite signal is being received" was part of a program it was on the screen that much and i have had to buy this piece of crap that only records one channel while watching another .

I've had awful customer service with both VM and Sky which is a shame as there's just no need for it :(

Luckily at least with sky I now don't speak to standard customer services and the ones I deal with now are great.

With VM it's always been (in my case) one or two people that have ruined it for me. On the whole it's been ok.

Oh so since your last post about a sky install you've had sky installed plus multiroom and now need a 3rd box installed and a octo LNB,

Sky must be so awful you needed 3 boxes installed. lol.

Sky stock system for the vans means thi...............ya know what....Enjoy your 3 sky boxes.

What i've learned in the week i have been with Sky is that the CS reps know how to apologize for the cockups much better than anyone else ..they're very good at it ,shame it has to get that stage in the first place

Hi,

I have refered you to malcolm from Sky support if you go over and give him your post code he can look into this for you. An he will be able to track the van and installer who turned up without the correct kit.

Sky deem this as impossible but you said it happened so it must of, LNB's are allocated in the 100's .

I don't know i'm making things up remember  one would assume that such a good and efficient company would know that a second multiroom would require a bigger LNB especially since the engineer phoned me on thursday night to tell what time he would arrive and what sort of install i already had and i told him i already had a multiroom install

we aren't cabled in my area yet (next year i beleive) so i don't have much of a choice apart from freeview but the first available oportunity Sky's out and VM's back

Love the lynching for the guy who complimented Sky.

Good news for them indeed Hugh, and their customers who are apparently seeing improved service.
