Well the clicks could only be coming from the pickup arm so I would assume it will be fine.

To be honest I didnt even know that you were able to here it reading and writing lol, I only usually hear the noisy fan, which drowns it out. :)

With the Original design of 360 HDD's you rarely could but It is very common to hear your HDD writing on a PC or the HDD designed for the 360's'
