Re: Cervical cancer
Only just seen your thread Hom3r and wanted to say how sorry I was to hear your news. You must all feel that you are in a scary place at the moment but try to keep positive and at least by this time next week you will all know what you are up against in your battle. :hugs: to you and all the family.

50/50 what? 50/50 they will get all the tumor? meaning she will need further treatment ie chemo? 50/50 could mean loads of things. Obviously wishing her the best |

If someone only ever has one partner and they only have one partner then cevical cancer does not spread. The sad thing is widowers infect their next partner. The sooner someone gets the diagnosis, the better their chances of survival. I hope she gets well soon, |
Re: Cervical cancer
My very very very bad typing I should NOT have put a :D in the 50/50 it should have been a :(.
She was told she has a 50/50 survival chance. For putting a happy smily I'll stand in the corner for a while. |

Re: Cervical cancer
An update.
Yesterday they removed some lymph glaned from the groin area (IIRC) and the cancer had pread to them it would be a case of cancle surgery and undertake radiotherapy and chemotherapy before a hysterectomy would beconcidered. But it hadn't so today she had complete hysterectomy (everything was removed). So no it a long road to getting back to health (4 months minimum). |

Yes it may take some time but with you and the rest of her family and friends supporting her I am sure she will get through the next few months and be able to put these last few scary weeks behind her. |
