Re: Poverty and scratchcards.
My fiances auntie got hooked on scratch cards. She was spending outrageous amounts of money. My brother told me he saw her once going into a shop asking for 10 of each different card they stocked. It all ended in tears. She became hooked on online roulette and blew almost £10,000. It almost cost her the house. My fiances uncle kicked her out almost 12 months ago. My fiances family never mention her now. My brother claims shes working as a prostitute in Edinburgh. She gave one of his friends a long kiss on the willy for £10.00.

Re: Poverty and scratchcards.
I've never bought a scratchcard, and have never bought a lottery ticket, as I can see they are a waste of money for all but the very lucky few.
But I know several "poor" people who spend more on them than they seem to spend on clothes and food for their feral offspring. |
