V+ SA and Samsung
V Samsung only(standard SD box)?
VHD Cisco
Tivo Cisco

I think engineer was talking porkies as you will not receive a Pace box on an install or a tech visit, you may still get the Samsung but in the main it will be the Cisco box.

the only box that get reconditioned are 2110, cisco VHD and v+. Rest are recycled but they dont get swapped out unless faulty

There is more chance getting a samsung 2110 than a cisco

As far as I am aware there is a pool of SD replacement Samsung boxes, so until these boxes are finally decommissioned or you are willing to pay the HD activation fee nothing will change, sorry

We had our SA V Box finally die this week. They replaced it today with a Samsung 2110 with Remote type 11. The channel change is uber fast. I was hoping it was going to be a Cisco V HD box but never mind, it's only going to be connected to a small bedroom tv anyway. It will do the job :)

Wow how many different makes of old boxes are out there in cable land that have not died? The box I upgraded from was a Pace 4110 I think.

Surely everything except all Samsung, SA V+ and Cisco boxes are decommissioned when faulty or if someone upgrades there service?

Hope my TVDrive doesn't need replacing soon then! Been great since March 2006.

Better get my order in for TiVo on April 11.
