It doesn't bother me because
a) I don't have the modem in my bedroom b) as a backup plan, I close my eyes when I go to sleep, and this reduces my ability to see any flashing lights ;) |

I have mine against the side of my monitor enclosure and a speaker in front of that and oddly enough I can no longer see the light.

there is settings to change the lights which were found when SSH was enabled, but obviously we cant do that now
