Re: Can i get freeview on a V+ box by rooftop aerial?
Fair point, although I think that applies to more than just VM. Charging £££s just for someone to hit a few buttons on a keyboard in order to activate a service is a racket, wherever it occurs.
I guess what it comes down to is, they are front-loading their service charges so they can then reduce their monthly charges and make them look more attractive. |
Re: Can i get freeview on a V+ box by rooftop aerial?
They charge, because they can. If nobody paid - they'd change their business model. I now have a new Tivo. I paid £149, and have the paperwork to show that it doesn't belong to me, just that in consideration for my payment, VM agreed to provide the goods.
The salient point remains, without a paid-for VM cable connection, Tivo, and V+ or TV Drive is just a doorstop, nothing more. |

Until you reconnect, at which point VM want to 'front-load' costs on to you again, despite the fact I still have their equipment which I paid for 'connection' last time.

On a V+ box on M pack does your box just go down to a receiver with terrestrial channels available on catch up ?
