Amazing what you can find, if you dig a little beyond the headlines.

Here is where the survey came from - Fear and HOPE, and the full report gets released tomorrow.

When go to the page, you get rolling quotes, one of which is

Very good point. "Right wing" should mean less government, less of the "nanny state" politics.

The fact that 'The Observer' and 'The Independent' also don't report the item 'Daily/Sunday Mail' is accused of censoring, shows where the problem is.

From 'The Guardian/Observer'

So that means a higher percentage of Asian Britons than White Britons want immigration stopped completely.

At least they had the courtesy to their readers to include the word "consider", rather than the conflation of "considering" and "would" that the Mail undertook....

re British Asian/stopping immigration, the caveat is quite important

Yes. Having racist policies is also a bit of a sticking point, I think!

Sadly, though, many people don't seem to see that, & are just sucked in by the "tough talk" on immigration & Islamic extremism.
