You still need an engineer as it will drop again soon as the Downstream is way to low and the Upstream is borderline to high.

It is late and maybe most people have gone to bed or come offline, or it may just be a temporary glitch which also happen.

A strange issue though considering the engineer was there before it happened.

You are no longer on the same downstream frequency.

When you first posted, you were on 331 MHz, now that the modem has locked on, it's on 323MHz.

Your downstream power level is way too low and when i say you are scraping the bottom of the barrel with that level, i'm not joking. It might stay online for a while but i would expect it to drop offline at some point, make sure you have some credit on the dongle for tomorrow just incase.

As for why it's come online now, the signal levels on the network do fluctuate up and down. As the temperature drops, the signal levels do go up slightly ;) Also with less people online there is a chance that there is a lower amount of noise on the network, allowing you to connect again for a while.

Actually his signal level went down by about 3dB and so did SNR, but being on a different channel it may have different quality characteristics. In any case at that level it'll be vulnerable to the slightest levels of fluctuation or interference.

Glad it's working but the signals are still crap, -8 is low

Re: Help, Internet no longer works after TV installation.

Slightly low, yes. I've had a reasonable stable connection at that level though, so it's not cripplingly low but still outside optimum range.
