I missed the bit "my" when referring to co-workers :dunce:

I know you said co-workers - do you not know anyone who has got together through work?

Well, he is getting a bit past his best.

They use a different excuse for getting rid of female newsreaders/presenters at the BBC when it happens to them....

But, then again, wasn't he suing the NotW over phone tapping or something? :erm:

This is not about asking someone out who happens to be a co-worker, this is about sexual behaviour towards a co-worker in the office. Your point about dating sites is utterly irrelevant as well.

What he did in the wolves video was fine, when he did in the video with the female news reporter was out of line.

Someone clearly from inside sky wanted him out, all the leaked videos show that, however regardless what he did was out of line to the female reporter.

A guy in his 50s acting like a teenager.

They had a discussion on London LBC the other day, the discussion was entitled "Have you got an Andy Gray in your office?" The idea was to hear about sexism in the office.

One caller phoned up and said, "Well, if you mean do I have a professional footballer, Legend, millionaire, and seasoned charity worker, then no I don't have one of those in my office."

"PC gone mad" ...not necessarily it all depends on the meaning behind the words ,were they meant as a "can you tuck it down my trousers because your a woman and that's all your good for" sort of thing or was it part of a good natured bit of banter between gray and the woman that has been taken out of context .This is the problem with having all encompassing rules to govern things of this nature getting the context right is very hard ,past history has to be looked at and most importantly only the person who the comments were directed at should be allowed to complain

If I were a women and he'd said that to me, I'd simply replied with "Trouble finding it again?"

I agree wholeheartedly Hugh, its all very well posters making comments like "my daughters got a sense of humour" or "I'd have smacked him one", its easy to see this as just one distasteful comment instead of what appears to be a culture of crude boorish behavior by Keys and Gray.
If on the other hand some folks wouldn't have a problem with their daughter, sister or wife being subjected to this type of behaviour in the modern workplace then to me that beggars belief, there is a world of difference between a bit of harmless banter and what these two bullies have been doing.
Then again I suppose in some circles the likes of Jim Davidson and Bernard Mannings "humour" is considered hilarious.

So people get asked out at work without anyone testing the water or acting in a flirtatious manner at all?

It is completely relevant. People are arguing that there should be no sexual behaviour at work at all - so asking someone out is sexual behaviour - flirting is sexual behaviour - and this is human nature - otherwise how do people get together?

There is asking people out, then there is sexual harassment or making people feel uncomfortable. I do not believe that you are really unclear into the differences, that you cannot distinguish between asking someone/testing the water and sexual gestures directed at members of the oppersite sex while your in the workplace.

Believe it or not people manage to get together without making crude gestures at their colleagues.

Did this woman feel uncomfortable then? I must have missed the interview with her condemning this guy? Watching the film of the incident - she was laughing!

Are innuendos a sackable offence now then? Have people really had a humour bypass? It's not like the guy pulled down his trousers and flashed it at her is it? How come there is not more of a recording...for all you know she said she would put it there before he said it?

I was responding to: "You can't go around making sexual remarks/gestures directed towards co-workers."

And I have not had to use any routine at work thank you very much :D

No she wasn't. It doesn't show her face until it cuts to her checking her own mic looking at some production staff.

So your saying that it's simply harmless innuendo until you start exposing yourself to people? That's where the 'line' is drawn? Anything else is a humor bypass? I don't know know where there is more of a recording but it clearly shows no retort.

That is my point "where is the line drawn"? It seems to me that the line is drawn before considering the fact we are sexual beings. I bet you have never worked in a sales office! You would be surprised what the women say to blokes in there!
