Re: Scottish refs vote to strike

I fully support the referees for going on strike, I am a referee on Sunday, and yet l haven't done a game in months, simply due to the aggro you get from players, which is uncalled and l only get paid £30 per game.

I am certain that pro refs get a great deal more, there is a major problem in all football matches, what happened in Scotland is a disgrace, l saw this game and the ref was put under so much pressure from the Celtic players, and it didn't help when Lennon started slagging off the fourth official, clubs have to remember, without the refs, no one would get a game.

The SFA is a disgrace for bringing in scab refs, they should have taught the big babies, ie Celtic and Rangers, a lesson in respect to the officials and heavily fine them.

The SFA should hold the head in shame, that this aggro continues, remember its the League that controls football NOT the clubs.

Rangers? I must have missed where they have had a go at referees and where rangers fans have assaulted refs and put their windows in.

Re: Scottish refs vote to strike

wonder how many times rangers got away with extra minutes in a game when they should of been just 1 minute being added...

the extra refs from other countries is a joke to be honest we have plenty of good ref's in other division's an give them a change 2 ref a game in the spl
sfa is a joke an were still awaiting an answer from them

Oh please! Celtic are renouned for getting last minute winners or equalisers after suspiciously long periods of extra time.

Perhaps you'd care to give examples of times when Rangers have benefited from far longer on the clock than the officials have held up?

Get out of the 1970s, Arthur. If a Union chooses to take its ball and stomp off in a sulk, the management is entitled to go and find another ball.

The revolution, in case you hadn't noticed, didn't happen. Arthur Scargill and Red Robbo are not in Downing Street and life goes on as before.
