The same reason you don't get 80meg on the higher package....

I assumed the overheads would be smaller than that. Too lazy to do the maths :tired:

Outside of the first month after install, is there anything that can make the fibre modem change the calibration? Crosstalk or change in tbe copper part of the line?

DLM

I worded that badly wrong! Meant to ask what would cause the DLM to change the speed or latency and if the connection between the fibre hub and the property is the only part that affects it?

Its very possible that I still worded it badly lol

DLM is similar to DSL syncing

Crosstalk will affect the performance of the line and this will depend on the number of active customers on a cabinet. As FTTC becomes more popular expect the line speed attainable to drop... The effect may be reduced if vectoring makes it beyond testing!

I had a load of power outages a couple of weeks ago, turned out to be a dodgy multi-plug tripping the fuseboard, anyway it kept me on fastpath after that, then i unplugged it the other day to move my desk out to clean behind and when i put it back in a couple of hours later it was like that

Thought ignitions post was a new one, not 3 years old lol. For that reason I didn't answer before....thinking the estimates were different from last week :dunce:

You might find that the download speed goes down a little bit over the next few weeks, as well as the upload increasing.
