I know some people who use this all the time

This software allows you to change the macc address of the Net card on the pc for those that DONT use a router and connect there pc directly to the modem.

I think I should point out that any site mod/admin team should be experienced and savvy enough to spot banned ex-members by means other than your IP address.

We're rather good at it on this forum and I doubt we're the only ones. ;)

Erm... Well done. No sources as it was quite a few years back but if you change your MAC address on your NIC (network interface card) you can also be done for a "misguided entity" or by pretending to be someone who you are not. One of NewLabours obscure new laws.

I've noticed with Virgin that you tend to get the same IP address even when the lease runs out. So far, the only time our router has been given a new IP was after we came back from holiday and both the modem and router had been off for five days.

Also, DHCP clients will try and renew their lease at the halfway point of the lease.
