I moved from Orange to 3 a few years back, if I now wanted to move to another network and still keep my original number, would I be able to do this, and if so would I contact 3 or Orange?

Hi Guest appearance, what you need to do is:

1-Contact 3 to request the pac code.

2-When you have the pac code contact the other service provider and give them the pac code.

Also in regards to this have you got the number from the other service provider yet ( as this number has to be active for the number to be ported over from 3 )

Hope this helps you.

Hi devilincarnate,

No, I don't have the new number yet. Wasn't sure how this would work but your reply has cleared it up for me.

Thanks for your help.

Glad to help, also forgot to add the pac code is only valid for 30 days so do not request it before you get the new number.

djmagnifique I'm having exactly the same problem as I'm typing this! What was your end solution? You never really explained.. My problem is with the exact same providers so your advice would really help!
