I am having the same problem on Tomtom XL Live. Reported to Tomtom who advise "just delete fuel prices from the download". Not really helpful when this is one of the reasons I changed from my old Tomtom.

Any one any idea when they will resolve the issue?

Oh Joy!! - I received an email from TomTom today - FUEL PRICE DOWNLOADS are working again. I have downloaded them and they do work! Well done to TomTom Customer Care and Technical Services who have come good. Well done to everyone who applied pressure by emailing and phoning them. Below is the text of their email:-

"I am pleased to confirm that I have received an update on the Fuel Price information downloads.
You should now be able to download and install the fresh information to your device with out receiving an error message.
Please do get back to me if you are still receiving an error message when trying to download the Fuel Price information and I will try and assist you further.

With Kind Regards
xxxxxxx

It's FIXED.
Got email from tomtom to fix fuel price error (important read also the last line of these instructions):

STEP 1 Install the latest version of TomTom Home

Download and install the latest version of Home from http://www.tomtom.com/home

STEP 2 Remove the Existing Fuel Price files from your device

- Connect your TomTom to the computer and switch it on
- Open TomTom Home
- Click onto ‘Manage My GO/ONE' -> Items on device'
- Select 'Fuel Prices' and click on ‘Remove Items from Device’
- Once complete, switch the TomTom off and disconnect it from the computer
- Switch the TomTom back on
- Go to Change Preferences -> Reset Factory Settings, please proceed with resetting your device to factory settings.
- Reset your TomTom by holding the power button for 30 seconds.

STEP 3 Remove the existing Fuel Price Files from your computer.

- Open TomTom Home
- Click on ‘Manage My GO/ONE' -> Items on Computer'
- Select all the Fuel Price option
- Click on Remove Items

STEP 4 Redownload your Fuel Price Updates

- In TomTom Home, make sure you are logged in to your account, then click on Update and Install.

You will be prompted to download your Fuel Prices again. Please click on Update and Install. Once complete, switch your TomTom off, disconnect it from the computer and switch it back on.

Everything should now be working for you again. Please note in order to update the Fuel Prices initially you have to update them through TomTom Home NOT through the Emulator or the Device.
