So here we have Gary L mocking the fact that it took 28+ hours to remove someone who was attempting suicide. His complete no-brainer idea is to push the person on to mattresses, useless idea if ever I heard one. They didn't let it 'drag on' as you put it. They need to keep the person calm and try to talk them down. You can't rush negotiations when it comes to stuff like this.
