Surely they still provide replacement analogue remotes for analogue customers?

AFAIK, digital isn't available in Derry yet. (It's close, though)

They do, just need to search for the codes and make sure it's the right box, i.e Jerrold etc.

Not sure if there is still a flow for faults staff in the FDT? Masque do you know?

The is no flow for analogue boxes so as above I would probably pass them to Customer Services for an upgrade to a digital set top box, all the remotes listed only relate to the present digital boxes.

These are the present remotes in this LINK

The only problem would be if they are in one of our analogue only areas...I know the codes are still in ICOMS so they can be ordered.

I was analogue trained many, many moons ago! :D

Can't be many staff left in FMC who would know now I guess.

Are you sure that the codes are still there as they may be inactive when you try to order a remote for a Jerrold Convertor, and as I say the is no mention of them in the FDT as the is no Analogue option.

You would need the account number and a call to 2nd line for clarification of the remote being available.

There is for me. Fourth one down on the left hand side. Maybe you can only see a subset. And you can order replacement remotes.

But it's an analogue-only area

I only thought it was Milton Keynes that was analogue and was unaware of Derry until now.

Probably the best thing to do as they will be able to advise if the remote is available.

Good of them to let us know during training unless they are possibly ring fenced to certain agents.

Yeah, any agent who is analogue trained will be ring fenced. You don't get many calls for analogue though, despite the age of the equipment, it's still very robust! :)

Analogue boxes don't have smartcards, so you can see that in the equipment screen in ICOMS.

I originally had an analogue box and the first allowed us to have the terrestrial channels through it using the cable signal and when that developed a fault the replacement had no RF socket to give the channels so I had to fit a roof aerial again to get them back.

Do you remember that far back.

Hi All, Thanks all for reading/repling to my question.
Your right Im from Derry and only analogue TV here (and outside toilets hehe)

We had an analogue box with the RF bypass like the OP up till a year ago, when we reckoned that Freeview was better value. Retentions did their usual good job and we've now got a much better set of VM services at a lower price.

Anyone want to buy some Freeview STBs?

The TV still displays (fuzzy) analogue channels 1 to 5, with teletext, at the moment.
