One question: If someone upgrades how are they supposed to transfer their data over?

You can use usb memory devices now, it was in the last dashboard update. I guess they planned this cause they knew the new slim was coming.

You will also be able to buy the data transfer kit still to move stuff from your old hard drive to the new console.

The console will be onsale at the current Elite price of £199 this has been confirmed.

Here are some unboxing photos. Looks great and the hard drive is internal but still a special 360 casing around the drive.

Bit surprising that there's no HDMI cable included, like they did when they launched the Elite.
But built in wifi, about bloomin' time

I want it.

Kotaku leaked details of the motherboard last month, we just didn't know what it was going to look like from the outside. I guess that's what happens when you send stuff to be built in China!

Looks very nice though, shame I've just recently bought a super elite.

45nm process integrated CPU/GPU... should have much less of a heat problem than the earlier 360s? (which originally had a 90nm process separate CPU & GPU, & eventually moved to 65nm).

After all the issues with the 360, they've hopefully improved the layout & the cooling anyway too.

So are there any significant hardware changes within the 360 apart from Wireless N and a kinect port on the back? anything like an updated Graphics chip to make it better than the current console? just wondering if its enough to warrant trading in my current Elite for a slimline. Though if not Could we see a price drop in the Wireless N Adapter?

They haven't improved the graphics, & it would be insanity to do so within the same generation (anger existing owners, split the install-base, etc.)

They haven't included an HDMI cable with the 360 for a while now :(

I think they've even phased out bundling the component cable too.

Finally a separate optical audio output too!

I WANT ONE....But I've just purchased a HD Component Cable (My LG 22" TV doesn't like HDCP so won't show xbox via HDMI) and New P&C Kit Cable for my Elite... My original HD Component Cable (that came with my old premium) isn't quite up to the task anymore, after being shoved behind the desk.

Try the 40 in my PS3 - although it took 20 or so games worth of data and saves to fill it, got a few more now though lol

For a console its very large though. Uptill a few years back consoles didn't need one at all.

hmm yep consoles didn't need them and on my 360 my drive is pretty empty as i only play a few games and its just used for game saves but my nephews one is full he likes the demos downloads updates etc and as they seem to be anti using third party drives i think its still rather small

that said i will be buying this one when it comes out ( only got current one second hand to play games against nephew )

Am hoping Game or someone offer a decent trade in on the current models against the new one.
