Wife - who doesn't do horses - backed the winner.

That's me having no peace for the rest of the night...

My 5 year old picked the winner.:D £1 each way got her £22 at 16/1. Her wee pal picked St John's castle. He wanted to change his selection after his horse was "naughty and huffy".(his words :)) He changed his mind 4 times during the race and finally decided to agree with my daughters selection with one fence to go. :D

He gave us all a laugh but I don't think Paddy Power will pay out. :(

Two people I used to work with both one.

they showed a ticket on that one guy put £5,000 on the eventual winner, netting him a tidy £80,000

You pay more for an each way bet, but if your horse comes in in the first four, you'll get a pay out :)

I think is a 1/4 of the odds you win iirc

You pay double as you're actually making 2 seperate bets one to win and one for a place and it's the first 5 for the national

Go early, I got there at nine and there was more staff in there than punterts.

I had that, if I'd know it was a woman driving though I wouldn't of had though :( :D

My mate had King John's castle, was sooo funny 'look at the bloody thing just standing there' type rant. Kinda makes the people that say they only race because they want to look right imo to.

£3 bet for both or £6 bet in total, if it's for both you only had £1.50 riding on it.....
