My box just hung in the TV on demand area. Rebooted, now get AP52.

Any news from Virgin on this yet, and how do you get into the Engineer/Tech screen ?

I am in cambridge.

I'm in Hemel Hempstead and had a box with LD30/20 on it and a black screen with virgin media on my TV. Finally got through to Virgin (25mins) as I was speaking to the girl the box sprang into life and I now have full service!
The girl at Virgin said that they opened the lines at 8am to 800+ fault calls. Fingers crossed your virgin box springs into life soon...Merry Christmas

Re: Boot up problems

Back on in Cambridge - internet went down, reset that and everything including TV came back. Obviously some big red reset button got pressed somewhere in virgin central!
Have had performance issue's all week on internet and cable, so hopefully virgin have rebooted in some more bandwidth for the holiday period!?

Why oh why do people switch their boxes off ? they are designed to be left on all the time,if they were left on, as they should be, there wouldn't be any of the problems that continually get posted on this site, with regard to booting up daily ....

I switch my boxes off because I cannot sleep with my bedroom illuminated by all those lights. If they could fix that with a dimmer or something else to cut out the bright lights, I would leave it on.

I switch mine off overnight because my TV/DVD Player/V+ Box/WDTV/Powerline adaptor are all plugged into the same 8-way adaptor so it makes sense to switch them off at night rather then leaving them all in standby. Also it gives me something to do in the morning ;) And my house-mate nags me if I leave them on overnight.
