In thruth, I can't say this dude and his "conservative christian" mates attempts to rewrite the bible to suite their needs really makes any difference to me.

If I want to read fantasy I'll read LotR or Dragonlance.... It's still nonsense and bullsnot wether its got a liberal or conservative slant.... :rolleyes:

Well it's amazing - you learn something every day. I always thought that this document was the definitive manual for shepherds (world wide) on how to control and manage sheep?

Guess one has to suppose that the methods change as the human race evolves over the years, but the principles remain the same.

We in reality have no real proof one way or the other that the bible is nothing more than just a book of stories or fables.

No one and I repeat no one can show 100% irrefutable proof that the bible is what all believers say it is the word of god.

The bible is a book that people base their beliefs on and they have no way of truly knowing that the written word they believe in was written at the time of the events or even if it was written by the alleged author.

It is more likely to be a book of stories handed down and altered to suit throughout the centuries.

Unless we can travel back in time the is no real way that we can prove one way or the other the validity of the bible.

That aside I do applaud people who have the unshakable belief that this book is real and live their lives by its values.

You miss my point. Several people on here often assert that there's no way anyone can prove it's all true. I think we all know about that - you're not going to find anyone here to disagree with you.
