What a bunch of idiots reporting this, it's only going to make the picture more popular.

Flyboy, you do realise that not every white skinned human being is a raceist or a nazi ? Gotta say dude, it's boring to see you do it over, and over, and over, and over, and over in multiple threads....

Back on topic, it's a disgrace that some moron has posted that piccy on the net.

But I'm sure Flyboy will still think I'm a closet raceist....

Wow, an even bigger leap. How did you deduce that, from:

How on Earth have you suddenly spouted that nonsense from a row over an abhorrent image of the US's First Lady to this country's issues? I think that that says more about you, than it does about the author of that image
Your mind reading powers are top notch. Don't suppose you can do lottery numbers as well?

Slow news week?

I thought the picture was funny.

I guess in an artistic sense it's nothing Planet Of The Apes didn't do already - made me feel a bit sick to be honest - I guess that's down to feeling empathy though.

From these and other posts of yours on the subject, the perception of you is that if anyone disagrees with your view on racism/racists, you consider them to be racist too. You might not be aware of that perception but it's one held by more than a handful of CF members. I'm sure it's unintentional but your reactionary posting style in these topics give that impression.

I don't think there is anything unintentional about it. It happens too often.

I deduced it from your previous form. Its the same comment style from you in every thread that touches on race in any way, shape, or form. Aimed at posters who dont share the exact same PoV that you do.... IIRC you admitted to being on the receiving end of racist abuse when you where younger. Well.... Seems to me you like to dish it back to whitie now that you have grown up, cause we all know that if you throw enough poo, some of it may eventually stick....

Oh, and before you post a reply in the heat of the moment. I'd suggest you go think about what I've said. A bit of introspection and self-analysis can be good for us. I did that when Russ called me a hypocrit a couple of weeks ago, and he was right, and I admitted as much bith to myself and on this forum. So take a bit of time and have a think. :)

FFS, just seen Flyboy's original post.

I know you are convinced i'm a racist bigot and try and twist every post of mine to back up your own prejudice but it's really getting old now.

One...last...time...

It was a joke which is why I included the smilie. And not just any smilie it was the tongue one which, IMO, represents tongue-in-cheek posts.

And no, I don't seriously believe the fact Google UK's search results appear more racist than Google worldwide's search results to be anything other than a coincidence. If I did, it wouldn't be a joke.

And the subtext of the joke which I refer to isn't nonsense. It's well publised.

Everyone else seems to have worked all this out on their own. So please can you remove the chip off your shoulder so you can move on. I really thought you turned a corner monday.

To the people who did say it was funny. It was playing on the racist notion of black people being apes. It is a racist image.

It's not the monkey per se, but what the use of monkey means in each case that makes one offensive but the other not.

Michelle Obama's picture draws on a particularly nasty racial stereotype that suggests black people are less advanced/intelligent because they are more like apes than people. Bush's picture woudn't be understood by anyone to make a statement about white people as a race, it simply suggests Bush is a bit thick.
