Don't think there is much point continuing further

correct me if I am wrong.

If you are on trip xl its £58 total if I was to take mobile BB out on its own I would actuall pay £12 as it says on the website 20% off when taken as a bundle? Your figures are missing the 20% discount do you lose that if you take the netbook?

I think potential customers need to know the actual figures and not the VM flannel mate I mean no offense to you just think it needs to be clarified

Ben why cant you just admit its not really free when it is plain to see it isnt

Actually in all the netbook calls I've taken it's never come up

The only issue people have is the same as the OP - that they don't think they have to take MBB to get it.

You don't lose it, as the 20% isn't part of the MBB+Netbook offer in the first place, it only applies to the two products it says it applies to

Because most people are blind to it and do not look into it in great enough detail and do not knwo all the facts

They say oh look FREE netbook I want one

Look, Virgin are not the first company to do it and they will not be the last. All companies will present their products in the best light possible

Virgin are not lying on the advertising, nor are they hiding any information.

I see it that way and thats why I wont be getting it free means costs nothing at all VM do seem to always throw something in like higher price for something else or extra long contract.

No but its misleading

I know they are not the first company to do this and they will not be the ast but if I see it I will speak out about it. I do not like being misled or ripped off and I will do my upmost to counter it. Also I will stand up and say my peice and point it out to those who do not see it so they can make educated decisions with a full idea of the facts

Let me know was the ASA says then

zing_deleted 17-10-2009 23:10

Re: Free net book with virgin BB

I do not care what the ASA as I say I will point out these things when I see them. Plenty of people see it matey for some reason you are blind to reason. Look at Kymmys response when she realised the differences in prices "VM strikes again"

Pricing is an issue to a lot of people. If you do not like it when I bring it to the attention of users then block me so you will not have to read it cuz I tell you one thing,I aint gonna stop!

Re: Free net book with virgin BB

Never said you should stop. But if you feel that strongly about it, do something more it about than just having a go at Virgin on a web forum.

zing_deleted 17-10-2009 23:21

Re: Free net book with virgin BB

lmao its a web forum where I offer support and this end of it is mainly aimed at Virgin media so I point it out to people who come here for help. I think its helpful to point out these price differences although you for some reason would rather customers stumbled in blindly

BenMcr 17-10-2009 23:25

Re: Free net book with virgin BB

If I though that, then why would I bother coming on here in the first place?! I certainly don't do it to be compared to a Nazi

zing_deleted 17-10-2009 23:27

Re: Free net book with virgin BB

well you are always on the defensive when the issue of price differences are bought up. You back VMs strategy almost vehemently and you appear to me in these issues to be blinkered with some kind of misplaced loyalty

You offer excellent tech support and your knowledge of the pricing is beyond reproach its just sometimes I think you can not see the wood for the trees :)

Re: Free net book with virgin BB

Oh my, I have loyalty for the company I work for and won't slag them off on a public forum. How surprising!
