Re: London's Metropolitan Police accused of waterboarding suspects
Apparently the alleged victims had their heads put down a toilet and had it flushed. Had I had known this during school I would have been straight on to Amnesty International and had my bullies up in the dock at the ICC (or the equivalent at the time)

I've no doubt that there are some people in prison who do not deserve to be there and would be far better completing some form of community punishment. As it is when prison holds absolutely no fear for most people and in some cases they re-offend to get back inside there has to be questions asked about A: The regime inside prisons B: How bad their lives must be outside and how its been allowed to get to that state. |
Re: London's Metropolitan Police accused of waterboarding suspects
Swirlie
The act of holding the victim upside down with his or her head in the toilet bowl, and flushing. Typically perpetrated by two or more older, larger individuals. Instances of swirling have been prosecuted in courts.[4] More commonly known as bogwashing in the U.K., or dunnyflushing in Australia. Variants of the swirlie include the brown swirlie (or chunky swirlie) and the yellow swirlie, depending upon the contents of the toilet bowl. we used to do this at school - better if there's a big floater in the bowl :D |

And now the whole matter has been quietly dropped with no charges brought.
