Re: Linksys Router and NTL 250 MODEM
They have a Green Icon Next To Them
and are 1394 net adapter, USB Cable Modem and Intel VE Network Connection |
Re: Linksys Router and NTL 250 MODEM
That means they're all enabled and working.
Start > Control Panel > Network Connections do any of them show as disabled? Or do they say enabled or connected or network cable unplugged. Right click each connection select Status then Support, what IP address do they have? Just post the first 6 digits. |
Re: Linksys Router and NTL 250 MODEM
Local Connection is Disabled and says network cable unplugged
Rest are enabled 1394 doesnt have any information Local area Connection 2 has 81.107.1 ---------- Post added at 21:46 ---------- Previous post was at 21:42 ---------- |
Re: Linksys Router and NTL 250 MODEM
Can you delete some of your ip address. Not a good idea to post it in full.
Local Area Connection 2 is the connection you're using now, connected directly to the modem. If you connect to the router the 81 ip addy should change to become 192. |
Re: Linksys Router and NTL 250 MODEM
Should i Check it??
|
Re: Linksys Router and NTL 250 MODEM
Yes, turn off modem and router. Connect modem to router's wan port and connect router to computer. Turn modem on wait for lights to settle then turn router on.

Re: Linksys Router and NTL 250 MODEM
Yes but on the router you have 4 ports numbered 1 2 3 4, number 1 won't light up so use number 2 3 or 4.
Yes. And if you're using USB disconnect that completely. You can't use usb and ethernet at the same time. And also enable the one that's disabled. |
Re: Linksys Router and NTL 250 MODEM

Re: Linksys Router and NTL 250 MODEM
