Well i can no longer connect to the internet now with virginmedia, good job i still have my Be there connection.
Going to give them a ring and take a risk, where is this ' newsgroups' then ? all new to me sorry

Took me 15 minutes trawling Virgin Media's site to find it, when I couldn't find it, 10 seconds in Google: http://www.virginmedia.com/help/cabl...setting-up.php is the link you need (can somebody PLEASE chuck it in a sticky on Cable Forum somewhere), it should set up Outlook Express or your email client so it can access the newsgroups. The group you need is: virginmedia.support.broadband.cable

ahh you are a star indeed, out of interest can i still access it even though i am using a Be there connection?

No, unfortunately it requires you access it via your VM connection. It's a crap way of doing it, but if you even get a sniff of a connection, do it that way, it's far better than doing it via phones, especially at the weekend.

Yeah shame it cannot be used with other connections.
Well i took a gamble and phoned them up, well after i went through the options, the automated response was there is a on going issue regarding the broadband in my area, and they have the engineers are trying to fix it asap, lol well that nice of them.
Well i see what it is like later on or tomorrow and give them a ring if i dont get a sniff of a virginmedia connection and i cannot use the newsgroups.
