"64 bit is included on the dvd" does that mean you could install that over the 32 bit OS?

if it is a retail cd key that is provided then yes you will be able to, however if it is a oem key then no you wont.

i am running vista home premium 32bit with 4gb of ram and windows shows all 4gb, and runs fine i will be going back to 64bit though when i get my waterblock fixed , for my 2nd gtx280 unless the creative drivers are still pants.

i say go for it as it seems good for the price and if you ever wanted to play games, you only need to change the graphics card and possibly the power supply.

i had a amd x2 6000+ and it was great only changed from it because i wanted quad core and amd's are not that good so went for intel instead.

If you really want one of ALDI or LIDL's PC offers you have to be at the door the moment they open, and get to the till before the staff buy them all (so I've been told).

If they are on display there is often a mad scramble to beat the guy who have come in to buy the lot in one go (for resale at a profit?).

If not on display I have seen customers told "They didn't come in" then the items brought out for sale to someone else later.

One ex-store admin/checkout operator/cleaner/stacker/lorry unloader told me that he could sell dozens of the PCs or whatever, but they only normally get a couple or three in for sale.

I heard some time ago that you could order from store manager, no personal experience to back this up.

Don't forget it does not come with a monitor.

When Aldi do offers on technological items, they are generally really good. I'd say it is. It has a couple of flaws which have been pointed out. But it will still handle general computer use very well. Playing new games, it would struggle then.

This is getting quite a dissing on the Aldi/Medion fan forum - www.medionsupport.com
Doesn't have the usual tuner etc.

The one getting praise is the Tesco Medion - though it's down to a few at some odd stores.

If Aldi are true to form, a better Medion should be along in a month or two, a bit higher in price but armed with with a decent Intel duo or quad and a midrange graphics, plus the usual kit of DVB tuner.

I have to say I was surprised to see it doesn't have the usual analogue/DVB-T/DVB-S combo tuner fitted - nor the LG Blu-ray player supplied with some of their rigs??

As said, it may be a good idea to wait for the next one?
