The Bill has been messed around with so many times it's forgotten what it is. First a series of hour dramas about the day to day running of a police station, then the silly two half-hours episodes, the two/ three one hour soap opera's full of over-sensationised story lines and now this. Does anyone else think that it is last chance for it.

Doubtful. It's one of ITVs top ten programs and gets fairly decent viewing figures (5 million or so)

True enough, but with advertising revenues going down the pan, will there be enough money to pay for filming costs? A couple of Saturdays ago I was watching Oceans 12 on ITV1, and did not have one advert duiring the whole film, it had ad breaks, but no ads.

I hope so, otherwise, we will have to survive on a diet of cheap reality shows and freakshow documentries.
