I am still having my problems after endless complaints, all of which result in a promise that a fix for the capacity problem is imminent. Last week I had an email from them stating:

"In regards to the ongoing issue with your V+ VOD, we still require more time for a space in capacity."

Incidentally, I live quite close to you in Nuneaton.

I was trying to watch Air Crash Investigation HD (the 1 episode there is on demand) and it kept stuttering and going slow, it was like watching at half the frame rate.

That's what I was trying to watch last night and it just wouldn't let me in. This morning I have the issue of not being connected (online light is flashing and broadband not working) This has happened now for about an hour every morning. When I have phoned them all they don't really have an explaination.

I too have had this very same problem for 3 or 4 months now. Every time I watch HD On-Demand in the evening I get the same ERROR 9132 message every time, stating that the service is unavailable due to high demand in my area. I've lost track of the number of times I've called CS both to complain and to get a refund on the film I haven't been able to watch. I don't talk to them any more, I just tell them to check my history and put me straight through to Tech Support.

I've seen lots of technicians and not one of them or their supervisors had ever heard of this fault before. They checked and reconnected my cable, changed my card and even swapped my V+ box for the new Samsung version (very nice BTW. Smaller, quieter, a little quicker and doesn't have any vents on the top which means you can put stuff on it). Anyway, I must have started to bother them as they gave me the direct number of a senior engineer who promised to look into it personally for me. He had the green box checked out and said they'd found a fault... but alas it didn't cure the problem. He got back to me after a few days (yes! a VM tech actually rang me... that has to be a 1st) and said it was a 'head-end' fault (whatever that is) and the network boys were aware of it. A 'ticket' had been made out and the problem would be definitely fixed by the end of October. This was the middle of September. If they know what the problem is why would it take them that long to fix it . Well we'll just have to wait and see. Although I won't be holding my breath.

BTW, I live in Ipswich, although judging by the other posts this does seem to be a national problem, albeit quite rare. I'll post again in November with an update.

I also had issues with watching on-demand HD for the past few weeks eventually called CS last night and tech guy arrived this morning armed with a shiny new samsung V+ which is a bit quicker SD and HD seemed to have improved in quality although it may just be my imagination. He said on-demand should be just that regardless how many people access. All up and running now but it is only a.m. He also said that there is some heavy investment coming in the next few weeks which will improve the tv platform even more over the next year and that there are new remotes due out soon.

Hi redbluetwo,
My pet techy didn't mention anything about heavy investment, only that the error 9132 problem should be sorted by end of October. What I can't understand is why is this problem so rare but so persistent for those who have it. What's the difference, for instance, between my setup and my next door neighbour's who has never had this problem? I've never had the problem on normal HDTV channels, although I have occasionally had it on SD On-Demand.
I'd be interested to know if you still get the problem in the evening with your shiny new Samsung box. It never happens to me during the day, only in the evening.

I still get this in the evening after nearly 18 months! This is despite promises that 'the problem would soon be sorted'. I think it is time for another 'blitz' on CS, whatever good that will do.

you were right Nethrus - tried a couple of times in the evening around 9pm to watch Sopranoes series 2 HD and no chance can't get on - Sd Sop works OK but i'd prefer HD.
