Asking what people's reaction would be in a court or hospital is nothing to do with adverts on buses. You're not taking this off-topic via the backdoor.

Do what you want Russ. I know that you are a strong believer in God, and anything I say or do is going to upset you.
So again I will step back from this religion thread as well, as it's clear to me that you don't like anyone stating their views or opinions, but actually come across to me that you just want your own and will ridicule others that you don't agree with.

You are also welcome to your views but anyone who has been active on this forum for any significant length of time will know me better than that.

Speaking of which: Could a kind mod please add a poll to this thread? I started this one because I am genuinely interested in people's views and the numerical breakdown on this, and I don't think the other thread is appropriate for the poll.

I suggest the following question and options:

Do you agree?

No, it's needlessly antagonising/offensive
No, for other reasons
Yes, it gives a voice to Atheists
Yes, for other reasons
Undecided.

Personally, I'm not quite sure yet, I'm leaning towards option 3, but have concerns over option 1. One thing I am sure of is that it would certainly bring a smile to my face if I came out of the tube and saw one of these buses drive by.

You could say the same about many, many things. Football players is one example that comes to mind...

If someone has money and wants to spend it legally, why not let them do it?

It's your poll and you decide the choices, but

is that like No it's intentionally antagonising or offensive, or No it could be seen as antagonising or offensive?

Do you see what I mean?

Actually, the reason I was late in posting the poll was because I was thinking about proper/unbiased wording of the options. I guess there is no such thing. There is a 'no, for other reasons' option. There's also the thread to post in. :)

Russ, I assume you're refering to this post?

If you were in a hospital and someone in there told everyone that God spoke to him. what reaction do you think he would get from those around?

If someone got arrested and told the magistrate that God told him to do it. would he order psychiatric reports for that person?

In which case I can't agree that it's Christian bashing. I think Gary is making a comment which is not bashing any religion whatsoever. Besides the existence of God is not just reserved for Christians.

Gary, just go back and edit your post and replace hospital or court with the word bus. You could rejig it, say what you want to say and keep it on topic.

I can't edit it now even if I wanted to. if I changed the court to a bus how would the magistrate and psychiatric reports fit in? :)

I think it's best left as it is. people can read it and make up their own minds.

Further off-topic posts, or posts discussing what's on topic, or arguing with the moderators, will be dealt with. There will be no more warnings.

Pity you didn't add the 'I don't care option' because 'Undecided' and 'no for other reasons' doesn't cover my reaction at all.

Which is more along the line of I don't give a rat's backside...
