In trial phase and not rolled out to all customers, also no confirmation if it will be opt-in or opt-out.

The total silence from Virgin Media on this issue having been repeatedly referred to in Webwise press releases is hardly comforting either.

Frankly BT might be a better option, depends on how you use your connection, how good a connection you can get, and how you use your telephone. VM's telephone service is a rip off and total rubbish compared to BT at the moment and a BT landline gives a wide range of broadband options from BT themselves through to Sky Broadband and O2/Be..

The dig at cable company promises is I imagine a dig about how Virgin Media love to blow sunshine up our hindmosts while being the same minimal investment in anything company they always have been with the added bonus of a PR budget that would make ntl and Telewest green with envy.

Not calling it marketing as it's an insult to legitimate marketing people to associate them with the fiction that VM come out with.

Actually I was joking in my original post because of the other thread of BT bribing it's customers to use Phorm..

Now we are now really getting away from the original topic...which isn't Phorm but the offer from BT.

I suggest we return to it.:tu:

Keep in mind when you post on one thread that people don't read every thread. I haven't/won't read a thread on BT Broadband and Phorm as I would never choose BT Broadband as my ISP. :)

Distance from exchange, quality of phone line, orientation of the stars, solar activity, etc, etc ;)
