Surely the easiest thing would be to install Windows 98 on a separate drive/partition to XP/Vista and dual boot? You can pick up a smallish HD for cheap money these days.

Win98 probably wouldnt run on modern hardware.

Well it might boot but the lack of drivers would make it useless for games ;)

Nooooooooooooooooooooooo, don't you have to pay for VMware though?

Tried it in XP - in 2000 compatibility mode it kept crashing. Ran in 98 mode and it has crashed once. Couple of issues, the main menu flashes On/Off not to sure what is causing that. It doesn't save your progress on the main map, when you click continue it only allows access to the first Map!? Bit wierd, so I have to remember to save at the start of each level and load it. Was buzzing through the readme, says latest version sorts it, but I already did that when I patched it, so who knows.

This is deffo the longest I have played in XP without issue. As I said, it appears hit n miss depending on hardware. Apparently it likes my new stuff better than my old stuff.
