Re: No local area connection visible in Network Connections
Hello all,
I'm brand new to the forums (first post). I was just wondering if anyone could briefly describe how to enable on-board networking in the BIOS. I think that I may be in the same situation; I only have visibility to the 1394 connection. Thanks in advance, Optix |
Re: No local area connection visible in Network Connections
When you start up your PC, do you get a "press [key] to enter Setup" message? Press that key to get into the bios. In a lot of setups I've seen, there's a PCI or on-board setup menu with a sub-option of enabling/disabling the on-board NIC.
Hope that helps! |

Re: No local area connection visible in Network Connections
Sorry, I should have been able to answer this!
I didn't have access to MY pc before now so couldn't replicate what I had done and at my age the old memory struggles a bit! Glad it worked out for Optix. |
