That's ok because I can't be nominated for the MHP anyway because I organise it.

Apparently his attacker had mental health problems.

Violent attacks by mentally disturbed people do seem to be becoming more prevalent...

That'll be 'care in the community' in action.

My wife works in a Mental Hospital and the `consultants` come in for a ward round, have a cursory glance at the notes, sometimes a quick interview with the patient( and they`re always on their best behaviour of course) and declare that " They`re cured" send them home and 2 weeks later they`re back under section.!:(
Luckily, the patients she works with are normally old with dementia etc and unable to run around stabbing people.

Consultants are the biggest problem the NHS has as far as i am concerned. They get their training on the NHS then go off and get private sector jobs usually while holding down a post in the NHS as well. Last consultant i had to see was a complete joke he never looked up from organising his golf diary and said "go away lose some weight come back in six months" that was in response to me having a fused spine. It is time they had to choose either private and repay some of their training costs or NHS but they shouldn't be allowed to have it all ways.

Yup. Try getting someone clearly in need of help into a mental hospital. It's a tricky task.
They end up in a vicious circle of Police Cell > Court > Home > Street > Police Cell > Court etc.
