Re: Blair launches Faith foundation.
Presumably we are to be 'strong on faith & strong on the reasons for faith'
Sorry to be cynical, but Mr Bliar is the wrong person to front this, in my opinion. Past experience says it takes more than speeches, posturing & soundbites to achieve actual changes, the track record doesn't cut it for me, sorry.. |
Re: Blair launches Faith foundation.
In the end what totally done it for me with Blair was the Lebanon war and his total refusal to call for a cease fire, I know its just words,. but they were good words he failed to speak, and the only possible reason for it was along with Bush he thought and hoped that Israel would smash Hezbollah, sod the civilians caught up in this because once again Tony is right and we are all wrong. And in his final year the way he constantly kept saying, "I'm doing the right thing", or "when you know your doing the right thing", statements like this are shutting down any argument, he is right end of story, christ I'm glad his gone.

I just think this is blair trying to paint a nicer picture of himself for history's benefit and we all know how blair had an eye on history.

Re: Blair launches Faith foundation.
People had faith in Tony Blair in 1997. They believed all his glib promises and were roundly let down by lies and spin. Blair and faith seem mutually exclusive to me I'm afraid.
