My own view on his sacking is that he was never more than a stop gap, why he was given a new contract as manager though is beyond me?

I know none of it's true, i just find it funny and it usually winds up some Chelsea fans but it didn't seem to have worked this time.

Why was he hired in the first place? Surely a club like Chelsea would be able to lure a manager from most clubs, unless they really wanted Rijkaard. I think the whole way they have handled it has been really bad, especially because they gave him a 3-year contract earlier on in the season which tells me that they think second place in the league by two points and Champions league runners up on a penalty shoot out isnt good enough. It seems Abramovich wants constant success which he wont get by constantly changing the manager.

AG is being tipped as the new Man City manager according to the press in Isreal. I have a mate who lives out there and she was telling me last night :)
