Re: connection problem

Hi followed advice to the letter.
First of all "Local Area Connection Status"
Limited or no connectivity The problem occured because the network did not assign a network address to the computer.
So I clicked repair.
"Repair Local Area Connection" Windows could not finish repairing the problem because the foolowing action cannot be completed. For assistance contact the person who manages your network.
Any more thoughts would be appreciated

Re: connection problem

Hi Everyone,
"I have done it" as you remember I upgraded my Norton Anti Virus and all the problems started, I had tried everything and had so much great input from other memebers. However right at the start of my problem ARAGON suggested re-setting the router but I got put off by a friend who thought it a waste of time.
After 2 weeks or more of "hell" only one thing remained to do and that was reset the router, I have done this found that the setting had been changed by Norton (I presume) so changed them back and Eureeka!! I am up and running and my laptop and other pc are now back on line.
Big thanks to ARAGON :angel:and everyone else who stuck with it and offered advice, I have learnt lots of things about ip's, networks etc now I am a happy girl.

Glad to hear that you got it sorted and thanks for letting us know.
All that struggling hasn't been for nothing anyway. You've learned about networks AND about Norton!!
