Hom3r,

Many thanks for this. Setup:

Scientific Atlanta Cable Modem
> Linksys BEFSR41
> Netgear DG834G for Wireless Connection - Straight Through RJ-45 utilising auto uplink via LAN Connection
> Hardwire (see > individual computers below)
> EDUP 802.11g Wireless LAN USB Adaptor

> Computer 1:
3Com Etherlink XL 10/100 PCI for Complete PC Management NIC (3C905C-TX)
Working Fine - hardwire and wireless -(able to access 192.168.0.1 for Netgear Admin)

> Computer 2 (Wireless Problem) :
Realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet : Location Slot 5 (working fine)
(Intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network Network (Integral part of Mobo - disabled)
[Unable to access/ping 192.168.0.1 for Netgear Admin or get any wireless connection]

> Computer 3 (want as hardwired in the network)
Netgear FA311 Fast Ethernet Adapter
Working Fine - hardwire and wireless

- XP Pro SP2
- ie7
- Zonealarm

Is there a chance this could be an ie7 (hijack?) or XP problem?

In any event would like to know how to clean uninstall network adapters as a first step please.

Many thanks,

Richy99,

Thanks for this.

54Mbps USB WIFI Wireless 802.11G/Adapter/11b LAN Dongle

Please to say have resolved. Completely uninstalling/reinstalling all firewall/anti-virus software etc did the trick. Possibly something to do with how Zonealarm was/was not identifying new network - though that is just a (wild) guess! Main thing - it now works!!

Many thanks for all your help.
