Setup: Scientific Atlanta Cable Modem > Linksys BEFSR41 > Netgear DG834G for Wireless Connection - Straight Through RJ-45 utilising auto uplink via LAN Connection > Hardwire (see > individual computers below) > EDUP 802.11g Wireless LAN USB Adaptor > Computer 1: 3Com Etherlink XL 10/100 PCI for Complete PC Management NIC (3C905C-TX) Working Fine - hardwire and wireless -(able to access 192.168.0.1 for Netgear Admin) > Computer 2 (Wireless Problem) : Realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet : Location Slot 5 (working fine) (Intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network Network (Integral part of Mobo - disabled) [Unable to access/ping 192.168.0.1 for Netgear Admin or get any wireless connection] > Computer 3 (want as hardwired in the network) Netgear FA311 Fast Ethernet Adapter Working Fine - hardwire and wireless - XP Pro SP2 - ie7 - Zonealarm Is there a chance this could be an ie7 (hijack?) or XP problem? Thanks for this. 54Mbps USB WIFI Wireless 802.11G/Adapter/11b LAN Dongle Please to say have resolved. Completely uninstalling/reinstalling all firewall/anti-virus software etc did the trick. Possibly something to do with how Zonealarm was/was not identifying new network - though that is just a (wild) guess! Main thing - it now works!! Many thanks for all your help. Eponymous1212 |
