I think sooner or later people will just get a 9mm for at home or shotgun. but then we get that situation of that guy from norfolk that defended his home against 2 burglars and get sentenced for it. of late and thats also on the mainland afaik the offender has more rights then the offended. |

Re: Chav/Charva Scumbags are taking over
I live in a fairly quite neighbourhood but have still had cause to ask the Police to come to sort out a gang of around 10 youths throwing rocks at my elderly neighbour's house and, on a separate occasion, a group of drunken youngsters playing chicken on the blind bend next to my house.
Can anyone tell me why the Police had to come with sirens blaring? What use is letting the hooligans know they are on their way? I was pleased to see that the Police turned up but are they now so demoralised, by the way the court system seems to have no teeth and having their hands tied when dealing with very young offenders, that they no longer want the bother of trying to catching the little blighters. |

[QUOTE=joglynne;34507936]I live in a fairly quite neighbourhood but have still had cause to ask the Police to come to sort out a gang of around 10 youths throwing rocks at my elderly neighbour's house and, on a separate occasion, a group of drunken youngsters playing chicken on the blind bend next to my house.
Can anyone tell me why the Police had to come with sirens blaring? What use is letting the hooligans know they are on their way? that's because they don't have the bottle to tackle the problem ,a good blast on the siren 2 miles away gives the chav's time to get away ,and ensures that the blue fairies don't mess there hair and nails up in a scuffle, your modern police farce is imo totally useless, and offers the public no protection what so ever, but dont despair its not all bad because they balance out the lack of public protection by ,hunting down dangerous criminals with no road tax, or those thugs who park on yellow lines, so if your loved ones are being stoned to death by 20 chav's, its ok because theres no one parking on the yellow lines, and every one has road tax,PROTECT AND SERVE. |

Re: Chav/Charva Scumbags are taking over
If my town is anything to go by there is now one officer per car and people expect him to go up against a whole gang on his own ???. Reality is we have a government that talks tough while delivering nothing and to make it worse they have taken away many of the things parents used to be able to do and have also hamstrung the police as well. Personally i always respected the coppers when i was a kid a clip round the ear solved most things without the need for criminal records and court time but thats way too simple a solution for these times. Something needs to be done with the disruptive element of todays youth that are getting out of control. But it must also be realised that the vast majority of teenagers are not hoodie **** out to cause trouble and many of them make positive contributions to the communities they live in.
