You could start by making sure you like yourself, no woman will like you if you don't like yourself.

Very true.

Even more appealing is once you have broken the ice so to speak, is to ask the girl about herself and LISTEN to the answers.

That's just it. I've only met a couple of women who are programmers that I fancy. I tend to meet a lot of attractive students who program, but I can't get a clear answer on whether the University rules about staff having relationships with students actually apply to me, so it's best if I don't try. The rules are rather convuluted, and, AFAIK, only apply to the staff involved in grading student work, but I don't want to test that..

I dont use chat up lines, I know this wont work for everyone but it works for me for some reason. I just go up the the lady in question and come up with something to break the ice even if it something like "I like your top" it seems to work.

Oh and when I'm asked what I do for a living I work in radio (ok I dont get paid for it but it sounds cool ;))
